Houston honeycomb is available from a variety of neighborhoods. We stock a small supply and typically have more in stock during or right after harvest season.
How does honeycomb taste? It varies just like honey. Depending on the neighborhood and environment, including which flowers the bees pollinate to produce nectar.
Do I / can I eat the wax? You sure can. It'll melt away in your hot drinks.
HOW TO EAT HONEYCOMB
Suggested pairing include triple-creme brie, champagne and fresh baguettes.
This raw edible honeycomb comes directly from the hive (bee free, of course). Great for building the immune system. Beeswax is has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Infused honey is the result of combining honey and high quality dried herbs or other dried ingredients, plus time, love, and patience. Once the desired flavor profile is reached, we carefully strain the added ingredients.
Creamed honey is a “controlled crystallization” that allows for small crystals to make the honey spreadable instead of the larger crystals of solid, unprocessed honey.
